Prepared Childbirth Classes
When you are having a baby, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by questions, fears, and not knowing what to expect. Many new parents find that birthing classes help calm worries and answer many questions.
The Changing Table, Inc.
The Changing Table, Inc. classes strive to get you ready for your upcoming childbirth experience and your new role
as a parent! These childbirth classes will prepare you and your partner for a positive birth and a wonderful bonding experience with your newborn.
Women and their support person will learn about the process of labor, birth, and coping strategies for labor. Also included is information about epidurals, c-section births, postpartum, and the early newborn period.
When: Classes are held on Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., for a 4-week series. One Saturday class from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Lunch is provided during the one-day class). Private instruction is also available.
Sunday Class Series : March 2,16, 30, and April 6, June 1, 8, 22, and 29, August 3, 10, 17, and 24, October 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Saturday (All in one day class): February 23, May 24, July 5, September 27, November 15, and December 13.

Lactation Classes
When: Lactation classes are offered once a month: February 20, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 11, and December 9.

Sibling Classes
When: Classes are held on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 5 pm. every other month for children 3 to 8 years of age: March 16, May 18, July 20, September 21, and November 16.

The Birth Place Tours
Free tours of The Birth Place are conducted once a month. Designed to prepare and assure expectant parents-to-be, the Birth Place tour will allow you the opportunity to see the suites and rooms, Nursery, and the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Tours will begin in the East Tower Lobby and pre-registration is not required.
