The 2009 RMC Nurse of the Year is Marcus Fields, R.N.

 "I love Emergency Nursing. I have been fortunate enough to be recognized and appreciated by my nursing co-workers, doctors, ancillary staff, and clients for the nursing care and support that I have provided. The Emergency Department is a department that operates efficiently if all staff members function together as a team. As a charge nurse, I stress communication and team work as high priorities among the staff.  In Rockdale Medical Center’s Emergency Department, we indeed believe in the RMC mission, “To treat every person like a member of our family”. We have treated many of our own family members, co-workers, and neighbors. The Rockdale community is growing rapidly and I want the community to continue to feel comfort in knowing that they can come to RMC should an emergency arise and receive excellent quality medical care."
