Cardiac Lab

Cardiac care at Rockdale Medical Center offers sophisticated diagnostic testing at our Outpatient Diagnostic Center. Our advanced equipment includes an echocardiograph, which generates a two-dimensional image of your heart, and a new stress testing system. This technology combined with multiple testing rooms allows us to perform several tests at once decreasing your wait time. Cardiology services are supported by our staff of cardiologists including Chief of Cardiology, Michael P. Cecil, M.D.

Our Cardiovascular Suite is a special room where we provide life-saving procedures such as catheterizations that show blood supply to vital organs. With our physicians and medical professionals, we can also open blood vessels; stop bleeding vessels and dissolve blood clots in our state-of-the art suite. We also have two special patient units for cardiac patients. The Critical Cardiac Care and Telemetry units offer a low-patient-to-nurse ratio and provide constant monitoring by specialized nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support.

For patients who have had a heart event, our Cardiac Fitness program is here to keep you healthy. Exercise physiologists work with patients to develop individualized exercise programs, while cardiac nurses monitor your progress in a special exercise facility located across the street from the hospital on Wellbrook Circle.
