What is Cardiac Health & Fitness?
The way you live your life can play a big part in keeping your heart healthy. A healthy lifestyle can also help you recover from heart disease or a heart attack. Medical research shows that heart disease can be prevented, controlled or even reversed by changing habits and lifestyles. Cardiac Fitness can help you. The program staff members will work with you to determine your needs and abilities. They will design an exercise program to improve cardiovascular health and fitness - one that's designed just for you.
Friendly Non-Competitive Atmosphere
Cardiac Fitness is not just an exercise program; it's also a lifestyle program. The focus is on building a healthy life for the program's participants, who range in age from their early 30s to their 90s. The program's supportive group atmosphere makes it easy for you to feel comfortable. Everyone is working on a similar goal. People don't need to feel self-conscious. You can walk in the door and fit right in.
We Are Here To Help You!
The program staff includes physicians, exercise physiologists, cardiac-trained registered nurses, registered dieticians and exercise physiology graduate students. While you exercise, staff members will provide feedback based on your own exercise and wellness program. This immediate feedback covers your overall physical and medical conditioning as well as your blood pressure, heart rate and heart rhythm. Staff members will also keep in contact with your personal doctor.
