Outpatient Diagnostics
The Outpatient Diagnostic Center is located within the hospital and is home to outpatient testing areas such as: Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Sleep Diagnostic, Pain Clinic and our accredited Clinical Laboratory.
Rockdale Medical Center’s Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a variety of services using state of the art equipment. Our highly qualified staff performs more than 60,000 exams on outpatients, inpatients, and Emergency Room patients each year.
The areas of testing within the Diagnostic Imaging Department are:
- CT
- Non-invasive Vascular
- Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine
- PET/CT
- Mammograms
- MRI
- Ultrasound
- Special Procedures
Scheduling:
You will need a physician’s order to schedule testing in any of the above areas. On the day of your procedure, you will register in the Outpatient Diagnostic admissions area at the South Entrance. What to bring:
You will need your physician's written orders, if one has not already been provided to us by your physician, insurance card, and a picture ID. You may receive a call from the hospital to pre-register you.
How to prepare for the procedure:
Follow all instructions given to you by your physician and/or the person with whom you scheduled the tests. Please be sure to follow directions exactly, so you are prepared for your exam. For instance, certain procedures may require fasting, preparation kits, drinking liquids, or taking medicine prior to your procedure.
