Rockdale Medical Center has an active group of Auxiliary and Pastoral Care volunteers providing vital services to our patients and visitors. Please share your time and talents and become an Auxiliary or Pastoral Care volunteer. Rockdale Medical Center Auxiliary
A vital part of the Rockdale Medical Center family is our Auxiliary. You can’t miss our volunteers with their blue jackets and smiling faces. This group of more than 100 volunteers donates thousands of hours each year. They assist the hospital in many ways including: welcoming visitors at our information desks, delivering flowers and mail, volunteering at our blood drives, providing clerical support and more.

Pastoral Care and Spiritual Care
At Rockdale Medical Center, we recognize that assisting with your spiritual and religious needs is an important part of caring for you as a whole person. Our Pastoral Care Department is here to respond to those needs. Pastoral care is available to people of all faiths and to those with no religious affiliation.
Our Pastoral Care Department is comprised of volunteer chaplains. They serve as members of the healthcare team working closely with nurses, physicians, social workers and others for you and your family. Chaplaincy services include emergency and referral-based spiritual care for patients, their families, and hospital staff. Emergency coverage is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rockdale Medical Center Chapel
“Whoever Will, May Enter Here”
Rockdale Medical Center also has a Chapel in the East Tower, which is always open for everyone – patients, visitors, and personnel – regardless of your religion. There are no traditional religious symbols in the chapel so you may meditate or pray in your own way. Cards are located on the front table of the chapel for you to record a concern, prayer request, or celebration so others may share your burdens and joys. In many ways, these cards are a record of the spiritual life that flows through every aspect of our hospital.
